MISSION

PFLAG stands for Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays. PFLAG Lafayette/Tippecanoe County promotes the health and well-being of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender persons, their families and friends through: support, to cope with an adverse society; education, to enlighten an ill-informed public; and advocacy, to end discrimination and to secure equal civil rights. Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays provides opportunity for dialogue about sexual orientation and gender identity, and acts to create a society that is healthy and respectful of human diversity. PFLAG Lafayette/Tippecanoe County is the Lafayette, Indiana chapter of an international organization.


MEETINGS

PFLAG Lafayette/Tippecanoe County, Indiana meets on the first Thursday of each month at 6:30PM. Meetings are held at the Pride Lafayette Community Center, located at 640 Main Street, Lafayette, IN [map]

PFLAG, in conjunction with Pride Lafayette and Citizens for Civil Rights, oversees a local LGBTI youth group. PRYSM (Positive Reflections of Young Sexual Minorities) is a group for youth that is sponsored and guided by the above three organizations. PRYSM meets monthly on the 1st and 3rd Fridays of the month at 6:30PM. [More details ...]
