Citizens for Civil Rights (CCR)
CCR is a group of concerned citizens and community organizations in Lafayette-West Lafayette, Indiana. Our mission is to ensure the human rights of all individuals living and working in the Lafayette-West Lafayette community, especially those who are gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, intersex, or questioning (GLBTIQ) their sexual orientation or gender identity, to educate the community about current human rights issues, and to collaborate with other organizations to defend local citizens against all forms of discrimination.
Trans Lafayette Trangender Support Group
Trans Lafayette, Pride Lafayette's transgender support group, was recently resurrected after community members expressed renewed interest in this group. Please see our Gender Identity and Transgender Individuals page for more information.
Delta Lambda Phi Fraternity
Purdue's Alpha Beta Chapter of DLP creates a place in the Greek system nurturing of all people. Designed to help men of all sexual orientations, in or out of the closet, DLP enhances life among gay, bi, and progressive men by providing dignified and purposeful social, service, and recreational activities.
Gamma Rho Lambda Sorority
Gamma Rho Lambda at Purdue University is an all-inclusive woman’s social sorority exemplifying the qualities of tolerance, diversity, unity, and trust, which provides a network of assistance in the areas of scholastic guidance, emotional support, and community service while ultimately developing the lifelong bonds of sisterhood.
PFLAG Lafayette-Tippecanoe County
This is an international organization that seeks to provide support and education to parents, family, and friends who have loved ones who are gay, lesbian, or bisexual. Purdue Ally Association
Ally is an organization of gay, lesbian, bi, and straight individuals who seek through educational and advocacy efforts to affirm the lives and experiences of people who are gay, lesbian, bi, or transgendered.
Counseling and Psychological Services (Purdue)
Counseling And Psychological Services (CAPS) offers a Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender support group. This ongoing, weekly support group for students who are gay, lesbian, bisexual, or transgendered will provide a safe environment for individuals who want to share their many experiences, struggles, and victories in being gay, lesbian, bisexual, or transgender.
Queer Student Union (Purdue)
The Queer Student Union (QSU) was established in May 2003 and is the point of contact for the queer community of Purdue University. QSU aims to provide a comfortable and secure atmosphere for all people and to serve the homosexual, bisexual, transgender, and otherwise queer population as well as the greater community. Queer students, faculty, staff, friends, allies, and community members are welcome. Each semester, the QSU and its constituent organizations host several events, including panels, group exercise, dances, picnics, and other social and service activities in addition to weekly meetings.
