In
April 2003, we opened a community center to serve as a home
base for the organization and to provide a place where everyone
in the local GLBTI community can come together. Our first location
was donated space given to us by a kind community member. In November
2004, we moved into an even larger facility where we now pay
rent and utility bills. Persons of all ages are welcome to drop by and check out what
we have to offer.

for map. Directions from
the Tippecanoe County Courthouse are follows:
-
Take Main St. east from the courthouse (Main runs along the
north side).
- Cross 4th, 5th, and then 6th Streets.
- After crossing 6th St. you'll have buildings on both sides
of the street until you pass the Lafayette Brewing Company on
the left. Then you'll see a surface parking lot on the right.
Across the street from the parking lot is Luxie's Pub.
- If you look to the right of Luxie's, you'll see a cobbler's
shop with a sign shaped like a boot and an awning that reads
"650". Look up above that and you'll see the Pride
Lafayette Community Center's front window. We have a huge sign
in the window as you can see on the photos
page.
- Enter the building a few doors down from the cobbler's shop.
The entrance will be marked "658".
- Go up the stairs and make a left. Our door is at the end
of the hallway.
The community center has two types of office hours scheduled to meet the needs of the organization and the community: business hours and social hours. Everyone is welcome to visit at any time. Check the community calendar to the right to learn more.
