Secretary: Michael B.
Michael has helped raise very important and needed funds as chairperson of the fundraising committee. As someone who comes from a very small rural town in northern Indiana, he knows the great importance a place like Pride Lafayette is to a community and is working with the board to further the growth of Pride for all who want to take advantage of it. Michael wants to remind everyone that Pride Lafayette is here for everyone. Please let us know if you have ideas or suggestions.

One of her favorite quotes is: "Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind." ~ Dr. Seuss

She has been helping Pride Lafayette with videos for YouTube and leads the Trans-Lafayette support group, for anyone identifying as transgender, held at the Pride Lafayette Community Center. She has lived in five different states, explored 4 different religions, and grew up around many different lifestyles; these experiences have enabled her to accept diversity very quickly. Always willing to give an extra hand, Christina has volunteered in many different areas throughout Pride Lafayette. Her goal for Pride Lafayette is to make it a welcoming atmosphere for everyone who walks into the center.

Director: Susan P.
I have been out for five years. I discovered I was a lesbian through a very close friendship; our relationship did not work out because she believes it is a sin to be gay. I met Annette while helping a friend work on her barn and it was love at first sight; we had so many things in common. We were the first couple to be married at the Community Center during OUTfest '10. We have five kids: three girls, a boy, and a daughter-in-law and are expecting our first grandson soon.
Director: Greg S.
Greg is a long-time Lafayette resident and volunteer. "I have supported Pride through volunteer work with football parking, hosting at the center, distributing the newsletter and twice walking with Pride in the Lafayette Christmas Parade," said Greg. Once an founding member of Citizens for Civil Rights, he is now serving his second continuous term on the board of Pride Lafayette. "I see Pride's future as exciting. The coming year will bring challenges and growth and I think the entire board is looking forward to it," he adds.
