Volunteers: Dancing in the Streets

From our Co-VP Jeffrey:

We have more volunteer opportunities this coming weekend for Dancing In The Streets! A great downtown festival to enjoy music while helping the Pride Center make money to support itself and its many upcoming activities, most notably, next month’s OUTfest!

Duties during the event are monitoring trash levels in the containers and empyting when needed, as well as picking up litter on the street/bridge/stage areas. VERY LIGHT DUTY and no heavy lifting or moving things…PLUS, imagine all great entertainment as a backdrop to your volunteer shift!

SHIFT DUTIES ARE:
West Side/Pedestrian bridge
4 persons 7-9pm
4 persons 9-11pm

East Side/Depot
4 persons 6-8 pm
4 persons 8-11pm

CLEANUP/STAGE TEARDOWN
Duties for this part a little more lifting/moving of things in terms of stage, but also light duties such as putting down tents, stacking folding chairs, and trash clean up sweeps of festival area!
6 persons from 11pm til complete (approximately 1-1:30am)

YOU are the reason that Pride is able to keep our doors open and providing the funding needed to give back to the Community at large! AND, Pride Lafayette and its volunteers leads the pack in dedicated and excellent service to these great downtown festivals!

PLEASE E-MAIL ME Jeffrey (jabarbee@earthlink.net) with your name and shirt size by Tuesday, July 16th in the afternoon! I will pick up all tees and materials on Wednesday 17th to have at Center for your pick up during hosting hours Wednesday through Saturday. For late adds (after Tuesday deadline) I will instruct you as to which command post to check in at event!
